About & Methodology
Who runs ClaimGrid
ClaimGrid is an independent project by Emmanuel Agama.
ClaimGrid is an independent calculation-tools project maintained by a solo developer in Abuja, Nigeria. The maintainer is not a certified medical coder (CPC/CCS) or pharmacist, and ClaimGrid is not affiliated with CMS, the AMA, AAPC, AHIMA, any payer, or any Medicare Administrative Contractor. Rules that rely on payer-proprietary or worksheet-specific values ask you for those values in the open, rather than hiding an assumed number inside the math.
How each calculator is built
Every tool implements a published public rule — a CMS manual chapter, transmittal, MLN booklet, or FDA format standard — cited by document on the tool page itself. Formulas are version-pinned (currently CY 2026), tested against worked examples and numeric test vectors in an automated regression suite, and re-verified on a fixed cycle.
Verification date and re-check cycle
There is one site-wide verification date: 2026-10-23. Rules are re-checked every November, after CMS publishes the Physician Fee Schedule final rule, and additionally whenever a CMS transmittal supersedes a rule we implement. If a rule changes and we have not yet re-verified it, the affected page says so rather than silently presenting stale math.
What ClaimGrid is not
These tools perform arithmetic on rules you select. They do not choose codes for a specific patient encounter, determine medical necessity, or replace payer contracts, MAC local coverage articles, the current MPFS Relative Value File, PBM provider manuals, bureau rating worksheets, or certified-coder/pharmacist review.
Statutory disclaimer
Informational calculation aid based on published CY 2026 CMS/AMA rules. Not coding, billing, legal or reimbursement advice. Verify against your payer contract and MAC policy before submitting any claim.
Privacy
All calculations run in your browser. No inputs are transmitted, stored or logged. Never enter patient names, dates of birth, member IDs, or any PHI.
